WWE Wrestlemania crazy predictions thread.

Postby Prestwick on Sun Mar 08, 2009 11:02 pm

Obviously had to be done when you think about it. :D

1. Micky Rouke to come out behind Chris Jericho and sort him out once and for all.

2. John Cena to reveal himself as the long lost brother of Red Dwarf's Kryten. Already, he is scaling down his mask! See the similarities from last week's RAW:

Image
(Red Dwarf's Kryten)

Image
(WWE RAW's John Cena)

He will also change his main shout out when he has the title to "THE CHAMP IS HERE! Now who wants some Cadburys fingers?"

3. Undertaker & HBK to knock each other out causing a draw which will will subsequently save the universe as a victory of one WWE legend over the other would defy storyline reality and would thus cause this dimension to implode on itself.

4. MVP to win the money in the bank match. Yes, I am sure.

5. Who will then cash in his contract to ambush the winner of Edge vs Big Show and steal the title...

Awesome thread man. The Red Dwarf aside, I think I'll need a minute to think on what's what. I do think the streak will continue and that Rourke will show up. I'm looking forward to the MIB match and the Diva battle royal.

So long as Taker's streak continues, Triple H unleashes hell on Randy Orton and the others, Hot Rod and the others beat Jericho, and Edge doesn't not leave 'Mania as a champion, I don't really care what happens. Although, the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match cashing in immediately after a "winner" had been determined from the match between Edge, Show, and Cena and beating them for the title would be nice, especially if Edge were to have won and barely able to stand, much less actually defend the title once again. But then again, an Orton win and then the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match cashing in and taking the title away from him would be just as nice.

WWE Championship
Triple H(c) VS Randy Orton w/ Cody Rhodes & Ted Dibiase

I see Triple H winning this one. He's representing himself and the McMahons and I just don't see him jobbing out.

Triple Threat World Heavyweight Championship
Edge(c) VS Big Show VS John Cena

I think Cena wins here because it takes him out of the love triangle, which I assume is only the beginning of that feud.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
JBL(c) VS Rey Mysterio

What's not to like about Rey Rey as champ? I also hear that JBL is looking to take some time off for injury recovery. Should be a dynamite match.

Unified Tag Team Championship Lumberjack Match
John Morrison(c) & The Miz(c) VS Carlito(c) & Primo(c)

Hmmmmm....The Colon's have been stinking it up lately, so maybe they win the unification? That would be a good time for Morrison to go solo.

Handicap 1-on-3 Match
Chris Jericho VS "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat w/ Ric Flair & Mickey Rourke

No doubt that Jericho loses. Think we'll see a 'Ramjet' from Rourke?

Extreme Rules Match
Jeff Hardy VS Matt Hardy

This is NOT the Owen/Bret feud that was so emotional. I dunno, this one is kind of lacking despite the fact that I love both wrestlers. I would guess that Matt wins this one and considering its Extreme rules, he wins with a chairshot or something.

Money In The Bank Match
CM Punk VS Kane VS Mark Henry VS MVP VS Shelton Benjamin VS Kofi Kingston VS Christian VS Finlay

I think Christian has the best mic skills out of all of these guys and I think he could be a credible threat to any championship.

Miss Wrestlemania 25 Diva Battle Royal
Melina VS Beth Phoenix VS Mickie James VS Jillian Hall VS Kelly Kelly VS Layla VS Rosa Mendez VS Maryse VS Michelle McCool VS Maria VS Eve Torres VS Brie Bella VS Nikki Bella VS Natalya VS Alicia Fox VS Tiffany VS ??? VS ??? VS ??? VS ??? VS ??? VS ??? VS ??? VS ??? VS ???

Eh....Gail Kim. I think she makes the most sense and will be looked on seriously with a win.

The Undertaker VS Shawn Michaels

Match of the night!! HBK has gotten over on the Undertaker for the past few weeks and really he has nothing to gain by beating the Undertaker. He's about as over as he's ever going to be so Undertaker stays undefeated. Bring on 17-0.

Long time no see from me here, and I've got a new person to argue with for a change, because we've got hugely different views in some places so... here come the quotes, and my versions. :)

Wrestlemania is the night the faces win. Usually. The biggest face has to come away with a win, and HHH is not the biggest face. WWE also likes having a heal champion somewhere. That's usually Edge but tonight that role becomes Randy Orton's. Why? Because at the last minute, they've held out some way for HHH to triumph over the Legacy numbers game. They've show he's got a chance. HHH defeats the odds when he's going to win a buildup like they've given here and they're not giving him the chance to. That's always a bad sign.

Winner: Randy Orton

albone wrote:Triple Threat World Heavyweight Championship

Here, you're absolutely correct. The WWE's biggest face will win the title. Edge will be hurt. Vickie will fall into Show's meaty embrace and Edge will get some time off to heal. He's still getting over a few injuries and he's needing time off.

Winner: John Kry... uh... Cena

albone wrote:WWE Intercontinental Championship
JBL(c) VS Rey Mysterio

Actually, JBL is looking for two things: an on camera thing to cement his legendary status and to retire again. His bad back is getting worse and he has been leaning toward retiring once more. I don't see it being a great match because JBL is in it, sorry. He bores me. Even with Rey Rey. My prediction is that JBL retains and then retires a champion. After all, the WWE hasn't let anyone retire with a belt since Alundra Blayze taught them a lesson about that mistake. They let a woman win the IC title and had a blatant ripoff of Bret Hart both before they allowed a retirement with a title. He retires as champ and he's done something no other man has done.

Winner: JBL - then he retires as champion. Title tourney for the IC title begins soon

Maybe a good time, but... why let let lesser team have the unified belts? This would be the push that gets Morrison and Miz off ECW and into the main brands totally. A few title defenses, and maybe some issues with who their Bella is with, and then they lose the title and break up. Victory is the first step though.

Winner: MoMiz

No question you're right here. The only question is who beats him and how. It's an elimination style match too. Jericho has to beat -all- the legends. I see Snuka carrying most of the match since Ricky and Piper both have far worse injuries. I think Piper will get the pinfall, but that's just me. I also think they'll all get shots on him, even Flair and Rorke.

Winner: Legends

They're pushing Jeff too much. I think he'll dominate the match, but Matt will steal the win somehow. Got to push him as a heel a little more for this to really work, and Jeff needs to step up his side of it. Losing, especially a stolen match, would be the first step.

Winner: Matt Hardy

albone wrote:Money In The Bank Match

Okay... time to take this match apart. Who -can't- win?
Kane. He's feeling his injuries and talking about retiring within the year. Plus he's the biggest 'threat' because of the prematch build up crap. He's out.
Mark Henry: Right. I'd like to see him climb a ladder. He won't win unless he takes the case away from someone or he knocks it down with the ladder. Plus he's a replacement. He wasn't supposed to be in it initially.
Shelton: He held the US title as long as he did because they didn't have anyone else to give it too. He's got the mat skills, but he's not ready anywhere but in the ring. No mic. Not over. It's not happening.
Kofi. Great star. Lots of potential. Too soon. Get another small title first maybe.
Finlay: The put him in Dreamer's place. If the Hardcore Original wasn't good enough for this sort of a match, how can the Belfast Brawler be? He's supposed to be 'the glue that holds the match together'. That tells me he's there to spoil the big men and to get beat up.

The remaining three all have a chance... so, lets see... Punk, MVP, Christian. Vince doesn't really like Christian. That knocks him out. MVP is on a roll after handling his punishment well and Punk is a former winner of the MITB. I'd love to see MVP win it. It looks like he should win it but... there's talk of an Orton/Punk series coming and with Orton winning the title...

Winner: CM Punk

I hadn't considered a push for Gail Kim's return but... well... she's been in some house shows and the fans aren't big on her. Luke warm reactions at best. I'd love to say wither Beth or Melina as they are the obvious choices but.... I smell a twist.

Winner:Rosa Mendez by eliminating Beth Phoenix with help from Santino. WWE gets a new hot (gag) couple![/]

If Shawn can carry him, I have to agree here. Taker isn't as entertaining to watch as he was, and Shawn is a step slower, but HBK is the sort of star to make the deadman look good. And, as you said, HBK's got nothing to gain here, but to add to his rep from retiring Flair by retiring the streak. I don't see it.

Winner: Undertaker

Some good points and observations here. Before I couldn't see HHH losing with so much at stake, but now that you mention it, I could see Orton going over. He's done it before at Wrestlemania, over HHH. An Orton/Punk feud would be outstanding.

The unification match....I still have no idea, but I do thin Morrison could make it on his own. I don't know about the other three.

JBL winning is very interesting too. It hits a lot notes and its probably time for a tournament.

I think I just heard that the Legends match is multiple elimination, so I figure Jericho pins everyone but Steamboat, with the Dragon getting the win. I'm sure that's subject to change.

Aren't both the Colons and Miz & Morrison being run as heels? The only thing worse than heel vs. heel is the fact that no matter who wins, the heel character or characters are the winners. You can't escape it. Besides which, I am burned out on tag team matches. I could watch wrestling the rest of my life and never see a single tag team match again and not care. No opinion.

I think it's the Undertaker's contract that he wins at WrestleMania, so I doubt that will change. Even if it's not, despite all the shots Shawn Michaels has gotten over on the Deadman, he's still got 16 years of momentum behind him. And we come back to the fact that really, Shawn has nothing to gain from a win. He's still as popular as he ever was and he's not been pushed toward titles for a long while now, and even if it were, a win here would not likely see a step towards a title for him. Undertaker wins, preserving the streak for another year and Shawn has some words of congratulations afterward.

I don't really care about the 25 Diva Battle Royale, but damned if Santino Marella is allowed to compete in it. Brie Bella wins.

JBL won the Intercontinental Title on Raw, Rey Mysterio beats JBL in a non-title match a few weeks later, and it so happens it's the Raw before WrestleMania. Rey has a win over his opponent going into WrestleMania. Rey wins.

Christian and CM Punk are the most experienced with the Money in the Bank Ladder Match, but Kane is tall, meaning he doesn't need to go as far up the ladder as everyone else. Having a former winner's momentum, CM Punk is the favorite, but Captain Charisma or one of the fillers or longshots, like Mark Henry or Finlay, manages to pull it out.

John Cena, Edge, and the Big Show cannot, or will not, for the life of them find a way for one or the other to pair up with one of the other two and eliminate the remaining one first. Big Show wins.

It's not going to be nearly as "extreme" as they're trying to hype it up to be. Matches where you can do what you want barring murder have been on the decline for years. Sure, tables and other things may come into play, but the majority of the fighting will be done actually wrestling with an occasional trash can lid for good measure. Matt wins.

Jericho dominates the match, but in an attempt to show off to Flair and Mickey Rourke and prove himself right, he's clocked good by Hot Rod. Ultimately, multiple elimination or no, the Legends win.

The not-so-sudden reappearance of the McMahons does little to help Triple H win, though it will be one hell of a match regardless. It'll do nothing to help Triple H win, that is, unless Vince makes a move to screw Randy Orton out of the title like he did Bret all those years ago. No fan likes a heel champion, especially as unpopular onscreen and backstage as Randy Orton is, so at least one fan has an "If Orton wins, WE RIOT!" sign. Randy Orton wins, but CM Punk wins #1 Contendership to Orton's WWE Title on Raw at a later date, if not the very next night, while the winner of the Money in the Bank Ladder Match pursues the World Heavyweight Title.

Anyone have any bets for what the first match is?

I'm thinking its the Hardy's or the tag match.
