Had she been born a few weeks later than she had been, her older brother would have been the clear choice to inherit their father's money, but she threw a monkey wrench into that plan when she was born to the man's actual wife, putting her sibling, almost 18, out of that picture. He wasn't cast out of the family, but he was forced to relinquish any claim he had to their father's money upon his death. Despite being born to privelege, Gemma always wanted to do things for herself, and of course, being the daughter of a powerful family, she'd always get what she wanted. It helps her cause, however, that her father taught her early on that there are some things a person could do that would get them in trouble and how to avoid doing those things.

How this lesson was lost to her as it translates to professional wrestling is anyone's guess. Even while in developmental, she'd do things to give people a reason to boo her. Since she graduated to the big time, no fan can remember cheering for her except those who know her personally or who cheer for heels because they can. For the show, she doesn't exactly cheat except for putting her feet on the ropes. She won't even use a chair except in matches in which she can get away with it. But a bad attitude and brutality can do wonders to make people dislike her, but to boo someone like they do her is a mystery. To hear them when she goes out for a match or wins, someone who didn't regularly watch wrestling would think she kicked puppies before every match.

Outside the ring, she's best known for her charity work, which vexes her older brother to no end. Out of the goodness of her heart, she allowed him a share of their deceased father's money and he feels that those who have such money should use it to better their own lot. She has threatened to cut him off and this has, for the time being, silenced him. Whether he starts again with his complaining, she doesn't know, but is only too ready to follow through on her threat.

Her manager is Joshua R. Workman, but he never accompanies her to the ring, having come to Rival Angels as Karen Workman's manager. Being that she's a face, fans wouldn't know what to think of him if he came out with both a face and a heel. Despite his relationship with a face, his business relationship with Gemma had at first caused something of a romantic rivalry between the two women, as Gemma also desired him, but as time went on, the women actually came to have feelings for each other, as well as their manager, much to his dismay. He has feelings for both women, despite his commitment to monogamy, and so allows things to continue as they are.

I'd never create a competitor for Rival Angels like that. ... Okay, so that a half a lie. I created one who's a few inches off the 7' mark, but champions are champions for a reason. Even if I did create some freakishly tall woman over 7' tall, it'd still be possible to beat her. It'd just be like John Cena vs. the Big Show. Effort vs. a lack thereof, but still doable.
