Entrance Theme: Scum of the Earth by Rob Zombie
http://www.imeem.com/artists/rob_zombie ... the-earth/Some say she was cursed by the Devil himself the moment she was born. In a world where minds bend and twist in order to accept distortions in a person's apparently normal life, sometimes the mind bends so much it snaps in two, and few people could accept in her early years that she could actually read minds. Despite helping catch murderers in younger days, gleaning details about their heinous crimes from them just by looking at them for a set time, people still treated her like a monster because she would provide the most gruesome details about the suspects' crimes unbidden, without showing the slightest bit of emotion. At one point, she began hearing disembodied voices. A failed attempt to ignore them resulted in a nervous breakdown and heavy medication, causing her to miss two years of school.
She'd always been physical, being taller and stronger than all the girls and most of the boys in most of her classes through school, and despite her mental gifts and the negative public opinion of her, as well as the outcry from parents, she was allowed to join her high school wrestling team. She wrestled through college, as well, while working to earn a degree in criminal defense, a drastic difference from what she used her gifts for a short few years before. Despite finding mild success as a defense attourney, public opinion of her did not change, forcing her to withdraw, both from practicing law, though she is still licensed to practice law in the state of Arizona, and from the public eye.
She would have remained hidden from public, living as a hermit, when a friend from college, one of extremely few, came for a visit. He said he was joining a wrestling promotion and remembering how good she was, thought it would be in her best interest to try joining, as well. It would be better than living alone and having another nervous breakdown, he told her, and so she allowed herself to be talked into it. The scouts for the promotion said she was good, but didn't think she was right for them. What resulted was nothing short of psychic backlash for all the years of rejection. At least three people were admitted to the hospital that day, and none of the staff could believe the damage done to them was done without any physical contact.
Two years of complete isolation did absolutely nothing to change her opinion of so-called "normal" people, despite having friends and family constantly trying to convince her differently. That changed slightly when the commissioner herself of a promotion called "Rival Angels," whoever they were, visited her in person and offered her a place in that promotion. At first she was hesitant, both because the people she injured with her mind had been seriously injured and because she was afraid she'd be asked to use her mental gifts in the ring. She declined, saying she had no control over the events of that day, but to her surprise, the visit wasn't because of what she could do with her mind, but because this promotion needed talent and a friend had given her a glowing reccomendation. With much hesitance, she accepted. Public opinion of her did not change in her hometown, and years of torment made her a natural heel. She's been a heel since joining and shows no signs of ever turning face.
"Trustworthy" Walter John Baker
Hometown: Flagstaff, AZ
Age: 47
Height: 6' 11"
Weight: 289 lbs.
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Mostly Gray
Type: Manager
Called "Trustworthy" because he's never lied, never broken a promise, and never betrayed anyone else's trust. All her life, he was his daughter's strength, teaching her to stick with it and keep fighting, despite the emotional pain. When she joined Rival Angels, she told him she couldn't do it alone, so he came along as her manager. A parent would do anything for their children, and since she so easily fit into the role of a heel, Mary's character cares little that Walter offers an "assist" when things look to be going the way either expects them to. Despite this, he maintains his nickname backstage.
