((note- this will be about a couple of wrestlers i came up with-even if only one is mentioned atm. will be updated wheneverly- will try to add something once a week but no promises))
The crowd was getting restless in when the announcer suddenly came out to the ring. The show looked like it was starting a bit early for this Rival Angels event. Dawn and Jeff made their way to their usual positions at ringside to their normal reactions of cheers for Dawn and boos for Jeff. Jeff ignored the crowd like normal while Dawn took some time to chat with a couple of fans on her way in. The announcer then made his way to the ring and after the national anthem was played he brought the crowd to their feet as he declared “WELLLLCOME to Rival Angels!”
After the crowd settled down slightly the announcer continued “In addition to tonight’s incredible card we have a special bonus match ready to start things off for you tonight. A pair of newcomers to Rival Angels here to show their stuff. Our first participant, from Parts Unknown, standing 5’6” weighing in at- <ahem> none of your damned business. Sorry folks that’s what it says here. Let’s hear it for…The Minx!”
Evanescence’s “Bring me to Life” starts playing in the background as the Minx comes out to the ring from the back and the male portion of the audience begins whistling appreciatively as a masked woman- which covers everything except her eyes, nose and mouth steps worth in a tight-fitting, form flattering bodysuit from neck to toe with cuffs of fur around the wrists and tops of her wrestling boots (think the Black Cat's costume from the spiderman comics). The slender woman basked briefly in the audience’s appreciation blowing kisses to some of the louder whistlers as she strolled slowly along the middle of the walkway, making sure to stay out of reach of the fans. Climbing the steps to ringside, she slinked underneath the bottom rope, taking her time allowing the fans to enjoy the view. Once in the ring she glided smoothly to her feet and almost pranced over to her corner as she waited for her opponent.
Taken slightly aback by the Minx’s entrance the announcer took a moment to compose himself before continuing. “And her opponent, from Cleveland Ohio. Standing 5’8” and weighing 135 pounds, it’s ‘Marvelous’ Mandy!”
However this time there was silence from the back. After an awkward several seconds the announcer tried again. “Marvelous Mandy!”
Then from the back a staff member rushed into the ring as the Minx took time to prance around the ring some more, and whispered something to the announcer who nodded and addressed the crowd again. “It seems ‘Marvelous Mandy’s flight has been delayed so…” He got no further as the Minx grabbed the mic away from him.
“What a surprise, that not-so-Marvelous Mandy was too scared to show her face today. She knew she was going to lose so she just happened to miss her plane. She’s probably sitting at home right now watching me and thanking God that she doesn’t have to face me in the ring tonight. I mean after all, no one likes being embarrassed in front of thousands of people. But I REALLY wanted to show you all what the Minx can do, so I don’t suppose there’s anyone in the back that would like to be beaten tonight by me in Mandy’s place is there?”
<at the announcer’s table>
Jeff: That’s the spirit Minx, but I don’t think anyone wants a piece of you from the back. But if you’re looking to kill some time after the show Minx then…
Dawn: Stop right there Jeff. Try using your other brain for a change.
Jeff: Hey I’m just saying. This Minx is a confident gal, why would anyone in the back want to be embarrassed by losing to someone on their first night here?
Dawn: You’d be surprised how some of the wrestlers actually enjoy facing a new challenge Jeff. And it looks like we have an answer. That’s Professor Shannon McCourt on the ramp with a mic.
<at the ramp>
“Listen up Minx. There’s not a wrestler back there who doesn’t want to teach you how things work around here, but they already have matches for tonight. So they agreed that who better than a Professor to teach the mouthy new girl a lesson. So if you’re not just all talk how about it?”
<in the ring>
“Oh no it’s a schoolteacher. Will you make me take a time-out in the corner if I say too much? I never liked my teachers when I was in school anyway so this’ll be fun. C’mon then!” the Minx fired back gesturing the Professor to come on down to the ring.
<announcers desk>
Jeff: oh looks like the teach will be taken to school here Dawn.
Dawn: How would you know Jeff, you’ve never even seen the Minx wrestle before and we both know what a sound technical wrestler the Professor is. She didn’t get that title for nothing.
Jeff: Well if you must know, the Minx and I talked a bit before the show started so I know all about her.
Dawn: Oh really?
Jeff: Would I lie?
Dawn: Repeatedly. But here we go!
<in the ring>
As the Professor climbed between the ropes the Minx immediately jumped her with clubbing blows to the back. Dragging her into the ring as the ref signaled for the bell, the Minx whipped the Professor into the ropes and went for a clothesline only to see the Professor duck underneath and continue on to the opposite rope. Ducking her head for a backflip upon the Professor’s return, the Minx was caught off guard as McCourt stopped short a delivered a solid kick to the chest.
Dawn: There’s the experience edge paying off. The Minx ducked her head too soon and the Professor took her to school.
Jeff: Yeah but look the Minx’s is no fool, she’s rolling outside the ring to catch her breath.
Dawn: Or trying to run.
Jeff: The Minx would never do that. Hey what’s McCourt doing there? that’s not right!
To Jeff and the Minx’s dismay, the Professor wasn’t about to let the newcomer catch her breath and rolled out of the ring after her. The Minx, however saw her and quickly rolled back inside the squared circle. McCourt rolled in to follow only to see the Minx leap up to drop a double knee onto McCourt’s back, if the Professor had been there that is. With a veteran’s savvy, McCourt only faked the slide letting the Minx commit and the masked woman’s knees hit nothing but canvas. Her opponent now hurting McCourt moved in to take advantage by grabbing the Minx’s leg and putting her into a kneelock causing the Minx to cry out with pain as the submission hold was locked in.
Dawn: Great move by Shannon, taking advantage of the Minx’s hurting knees to try and get the quick submission and shut the cocky newcomer up.
Jeff: Too bad it won’t work I know the Minx is too tough to tap.
Dawn: Well we’ll find out just how tough she is I guess. This could be a short stay for the Minx.
